our decaf coffee is made with 100% organic, single-origin beans, grown on small farms in peru. we use the swp process to remove caffeine while preserving the unique flavor characteristics of the region, leading to a cup you’d never guess was decaf.

Peru is an emerging coffee-producing country known for its high-quality Arabica beans, grown primarily in the Andean highlands. The diverse microclimates and rich, fertile soils in Peru provide excellent conditions for coffee cultivation. Peruvian coffee is celebrated for its mild, balanced flavor profile, often featuring bright acidity, medium body, and notes of citrus, floral, or nutty undertones. The country’s coffee is prized for its versatility and is often used in blends as well as single-origin offerings. Peru’s coffee industry has seen significant growth in recent years, with increased focus on improving quality and promoting fair trade practices. A focus on organic production sustainable farming methods has helped Peru gain recognition in specialty coffee markets.

The Swiss Water Process

The Swiss Water Process is a chemical-free method used to decaffeinate coffee beans while preserving their flavor. Developed in Switzerland in the 1930s, the process has gained popularity for its natural and environmentally friendly approach. While other methods of decaffeinating involve the use of chemicals, this 100% chemical-free process relies solely on water and filtration to remove caffeine - resulting in coffee that retains much of the original flavor and aroma of the beans. This makes SWP a preferred choice for organic and specialty coffees.
